While the essence of our corporate commitment is dedicated to our guests, at Les Rives, we are also actively dedicated to the development of our local partners and the well-being of their surrounding environments, by supporting numerous associations through social, cultural and environmental charitable projects. Below are some of our honorable projects.
Plastic makes up 90 percent of marine litter. According to WWF, eight million tonnes of plastic end up in our oceans every year, killing and harming marine life. If we do not act, in 2050 the oceans will contain more plastic waste than fish by weight.
In attempt to to tackle the plastic pollution crisis that’s choking our seas, starting from the beginning of June, Les Rives have cut out almost all of plastic that we use during the tour including replacing plastic straw and bottle with grass straw and glass bottle.
Les Rives believes that together, we can help to put an end to this plastic surge by cutting out small, everyday plastic use and Les Rives hope that our campaign could get the support from our guests and partners.
Teaming up with Ezland, we have built the orphanage house for children in Ta Nung, Lam Dong. Hopefully our little contribution will help those kids have a better shelter to grow up healthy.
At Les Rives, we feel we have an obligation not to remain passive and take action to improve the situation where we can and help raise awareness among clients, local partners, stakeholders and our staff. We are therefore actively seeking opportunities to contribute where possible and impact the community positively. Teaming up with Khiri Travel, Let’s do it – Ho Chi Minh and a number of other supportive organizations, we have worked together to pick up trash along Thanh Da Island. This year over 40 bags of trash were collected.
Les Rives also has been involved in the Adopt a Spot Program. As part of Clean Up Vietnam, Adopt-A-Spot supports cleanup groups and individuals nationwide. Many of these groups and individuals are highly motivated but lack the funding for their cleanup equipment For each clean-up pack we have bought for their clean-ups, Adopt-A-Spot will donate the same number to a group or individual around the country. Adopt a spot now support groups all over Vietnam in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Dalat, Vung Tau, Mui Ne, Nha Trang, Hoi An, Hue, Ha Long Bay, Phu Quoc and Sapa.
It was an honor for Les Rives to be one of the sponsors of the first YAANA corporate bike challenge. The objective of this challenge is three days 226 km ride from Quy Nhon to Hoi An to raise funds for Operation Smile, the association is dedicated to providing free treatment to children and adults suffering from facial deformities such as cleft lip or deformed palate.
Each year, Les Rives is proud to donate to underprivileged communities in the Mekong Delta all our used life jackets.Hoping to add one more barrier that could prevent another tragic drowning. At Les Rives We care about our communities.
